Trying to round pen a horse that is blind in one eye intimidated me.  I was learning how to do it, and Sabbath had been out to pasture for a long while.  So, I felt unsure.  With the horse trainer instructing me, I got Sabbath traveling around the pen.  She anxiously ran the edge while I stood in the middle giving commands.  The goal was for her attention to be on me and for her to respond to my visual cues. She eventually calmed down and followed my lead while running to the left but struggled when running to her right because she couldn’t see me. I finally discovered that she would be attentive so long as I continued calling out to her. She needed to hear my voice for assurance that I was there.  Do you ever need assurance that Jesus is there? Open his word today and listen to his voice. He is there. John 10 says, “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”
